Here it is – the peek into the glamorous dining room design for my clients Cathy + Charles. Oh yes, THAT IS a large art photo of a baby horse, with boots! Isn’t it the cutest thing! I knew my clients would love it = the black/white photo color gives a air of sophistication but the content is total fun (just like my wonderful clients Cathy and Charles!).
Below shows how the dining room looked before we incorporated the design. We painted the walls, kept their credenza, and I convinced the client to keep their current 4 chairs to save money and added two new GORGEOUS tufted upholstered chairs. And we said bye bye to their round table and ceiling light fixture.
BEFORE PHOTOS
For this glamorous dining room we created 4 designated areas:
- the buffet / credenza table area (holds dinnerware, linen, etc)
- the bar area (open X table design with floating wineglass shelves)
- the drop zone / mail area (dark wood color balances the dining table + buffet wood color, AND the bar area tabletop)
- and of course, the DINING table area (for enjoying yummy delights)
PHOTOS AFTER INSTALLATION
Don’tcha love how the curtains hug the room?
The GLAM touches are highlighted in 2 new tufted button chairs we purchased that have nailhead trims (they were on backorder like FOREVER, but it was worth the wait bec the color /style/ and price were ideal), then there is also the wine glass shelf holder, the gorgeous modern ceiling light fixture, the silver crocodile tray, etc etc. Oooooh and the gorgeous mirror ….. which …
We added color in lilac art, pink and yellow flowers, orange stool, and dining chair pillows. The power of flowers – they energetically beautify a room.
Since there was already 6 chairs in the dining room I didn’t want to add another one, so I mixed it up by incorporating the orange stool as the seating for their console (drop mail zone) area instead of another chair with a back.
